Pigskin ProphetPrivacy
Updated October 4, 2026
Pigskin Prophet is a football prediction model run by one person. It keeps as little about you as it can, and everything it keeps about you you can delete yourself.
What is stored about you
- Your email address, taken from Sign in with Apple or Google when you sign in. It is your account name; nothing else about your Apple or Google account is read. If you choose to hide your email with Apple, the relay address Apple gives us is what we keep.
- Your settings: favorite teams, theme, and notification preferences.
- Your fantasy leagues, if you add any: league name, roster, scoring settings, and (if you connect one) the ESPN league id.
- Notification devices, if you enable notifications: the push token for each device, and a short log of what was sent so the same alert isn't sent twice.
- Usage data (see below): which screens were opened and which tools were used, without your name or email.
- The server's request log, used only to fix problems and overwritten as it rotates, records each request's network address and the page it asked for.
Usage data
To see how the site and app are used and whether they work, the server records an event when a screen is shown or a tool is used (for example, "Home opened", "a Simulator game played", "an alert opened"), how long a screen took to load, and any error. Each event carries the day and time, whether it came from the app or a browser, and an ID that stands for you:
- Signed in, the ID is a one-way scrambled code made from your account with a secret key that never leaves the computer that hosts the site. It stays the same from day to day, so return visits can be counted, but it cannot be turned back into your email, and the usage figures never name anyone.
- Signed out, the ID is a random code kept in a cookie for one day only. A new one is made the next day, so visits on different days are never linked.
It is used only to run and improve Pigskin Prophet — never for advertising, never shared or sold, never combined with data from other apps or sites, and it is not tracking. No analytics company is involved: the events are stored on the same computer as everything else. Individual events are deleted after 90 days; what is kept after that is daily totals (how many people opened each screen on a day), which contain no ID.
What is not stored
- No passwords — sign-in is handled by Apple or Google.
- No payment details, location, contacts, IP addresses in the usage data, or advertising identifiers.
- No tracking across other apps or sites, and nothing is sold or shared with anyone.
Who can see it
Only the person who runs the site, on the one computer that hosts it — and for usage data, only the totals. The model's predictions, grades, and simulations are the same for everyone and contain nothing about you.
Deleting your account
In the app or on the site: Settings → Account → Delete account. Your email, settings, fantasy leagues, notification devices and usage events are removed immediately and the session ends. There is no waiting period. What remains is the daily usage totals described above, which were never linked to you, and the request log until it rotates.
You can also unlink a single sign-in (Apple or Google) from the same screen without deleting the account.
